Tim Knott
graduated with an honours degree in Anatomical Science from Bristol
University in 1991, followed by his Veterinary degree in 1995 before
joining us later that year. He was the 1994 winner of the Mid West
Veterinary Society's Animal Husbandry Award, the 1995 winner of the
Bristol University prize for Small Animal Surgery and the 1996 winner
of the Royal Veterinary College's Fitzwygram prize. Tim holds the Royal
College of Veterinary Surgeons certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology
and runs the practices ophthalmology referral unit. Tim started life as
a "proper" James Herriot vet where he developed his love of
horses before concentrating on ophthalmology full time.
Brian Patterson
graduated from the Edinburgh School of Veterinary Studies 1996 and
worked in a predominantly small animal practice for one year before
taking up an intern position at the Liphook Equine Hospital, Hampshire,
for two years. There then followed two years of ambulatory equine
practice in Sussex at the Arundel equine hospital before returning to
Scotland to undertake a residency program in equine medicine, with
special reference to ophthalmology in conjunction with the companion
animal ophthalmology referral service. Brian received the certificate
in veterinary ophthalmology in 2003 and is currently working towards a
masters degree based on equine ophthalmology. Outside of work any free
time allows for muddy walks with my five year old Springer spaniel and
marathon training and running. Elena Romero
was born and grew up in the beautiful Spanish region of Valencia. She
has been in the UK since qualifying as a Veterinary Surgeon and has
worked in purely small animal practice during this time. Elena has a
passion for Ophthalmology and holds a post graduate qualification in
Veterinary Ophthalmology.
