The Eye Examination

What happens during the eye examination? A guide for owners

The Equine Eye Clinic team are a consultancy service which works alongside your normal Veterinary Surgeon to provide expert diagnostic and treatment options which aren't usually available to your normal Veterinary team. It is very important that your normal Veterinary surgeon knows that you are visiting the Eye Clinic so that we can make sure we have any relevant medical history and so that we can let them know our findings and treatment advice. The admin team at Rowe Equine are used to helping to make this process simple and stress free as well as being able to give advice and assistance regarding transport, special stabling and hospitalisation requests as well as helping to liaise with your insurance company if relevant.
Out patient appointments are usually on Mondays and Wednesdays however emergency cases can be admitted 7 days a week. Non-emergency cases can be admitted most days for a "flexi-appointment" where the team at Rowe Equine will admit the patient pending examination by one of the ophthalmology team.
